I strongly believe that the best way to travel in Santiago(capital city of Chile) is by underground, because you spend few time to arrive to your destination point, when it is not peak hour which means a lot of traffic jumps when all the citizens use the same vehicle of trasportation to get anywhere they want to.
Firstly, It is clean, fast, comfortable, you can do other activities while you are travelling in it, like reading a magazine or a newspaper, talking on the cel phone, knitting a new sweater, listening to the music, studying for a coming test. As a result, you save time using this transport so then you can organize a given day with different activities as, going for a walk with a friend, clubbing, going to the cinema or do errands you did not have time to do when using another transport except the underground (metro for chileans).
Another benefit is that does not pollute the city, so we are not having a bad air to breathe deeply. It covers large distances from the top to the bottom of Santiago, and in every subway station you have mini buses to connect to get to further places within an area.
Finally, the chilean goverment is investing a lot of money in order to improve the metro in Santiago, and they are building new lines and modern metro stations where old and phisically handicapped people can use the subway in the capital city without any problem for them because some stations have lifts and mechanic stairs to make easier its use.

Katia,
ResponderEliminarI didn't mark this assignment because it was posted after the due date. Do you have a licencia for that week? If so I will be able to mark it, but if not I will have to give it a 1.
Let me know.
